Questions. Short answers.
People add links. Humans check them. Votes rank them.
What is Sifte?
A search engine ranked by people. Each phrase gets one shared result page.
Can anyone add a link?
Yes. No account needed. A human checks the link before it appears.
How does voting work?
Vote up or down once per link. Tap the same vote again to remove it. Simple on purpose.
Can a company pay to rank first?
No. Ads may show up later. Bought rank will not.
Why are there so few results?
Each page stops at 30 checked links. Endless junk is still junk.
Does Sifte crawl the web or write AI summaries?
No. Sifte sends you to the source. Wild idea, we know.
What happens when a search has no results?
You get an empty page. Add the first good link and fix that.
Do I need an account?
No. A first-party cookie remembers your anonymous votes. That is it.
